Olya Schmidt is a visionary artist who paints her dreams using acrylics and gouache mediums. The artwork ‘Hands of Time’ is the first painting of her dreamscape series, where the artist combined the imagery she saw in her dreams with a surrealistic style and vivid colours.
Though momentarily hesitant at first, the more Olya explored her inner subconscious world through painting, the more authentic and fulfilled she felt, radically shifting artist’s pre-existing painting style, subject matter and even canvas size.
By sharing her inner world through the use of bold colours and celestial symbols, Olya inspires and evokes a sense of curiosity and self reflection in others with her paintings.
